Lisa may act tough, but what she just went through is no small matter, and like anyone in real life, she is affected by what happens to her. She was fortunate in that she only ended up with a few bruises and a big scare, but others are not as fortunate. We live in a world where violence is a reality that many have to live with. My heart goes to all the victims and survivors of violence with hopes that avenues of healing may be opened for them and their loved ones.

I have described MIDTOON as a "Dramedy" (part drama, part comedy), so we thread on serious ground sometimes, but the expectations of the genre always bring us back to the lighter side of things. Chibi Lisa on the header is only partly joking. I know that some readers prefer that the series be exclusively comedy and are driven away by the drama part. I hope to keep you around, but if I can't, there are plenty of great comedies out there, including some by the very people who comment on my site that you can go check. Maybe one day you will be in the mood for Dramedy and I'll welcome you again.

On another matter, I am going to try to schedule an update every 5 days. I pushed this one to the 10th, to use multiples of 5 as the publication dates. I don't know if it is going to work, but I will try to post another episode on the 15, the 20th, etc. not as frequent as I'd like, but more than I'm posting now, so it will be an improvement.
